Bobbie is a professional playwright and theater artist, most recently seen onstage in Henry V with Shakespeare in the Vines, and Anabella de Leon in the Moxie Theatre's staged reading of Seven.
Born in New York, Bobbie moved to Mexico City at the age of ten, becoming involved in theater productions through school and the local community theaters. Bobbie was also a regular performer at MusiCafe in Mexico City, bringing American popular music and folk songs to the Mexican stage. She has written six full-length musical theater productions, and more than 300 songs. Bobbie's work with young people began in 1995 when she held the position of Artistic Director for a youth theater organization in Ramona. She has since worked as a Spanish teacher in the local high school, taught the Theater Productions Class at Ramona High School, and a high school-level performing arts class in Escondido. She is married to Jon, a pilot with Mexican Medical Missionaries and Angel Flight. Her daughter Amanda is a Scenic and Costume Designer for Theater, with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa, and her son Justin is a professional guitarist, having graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. headshot by Taylor Abeel |
