Bobbie is a professional playwright and theater artist, most recently seen onstage as Mattie Rigsby in Walking Across Egypt. Born in New York, Bobbie moved to Mexico City at the age of ten, becoming involved in theater productions through school and the local community theaters. Bobbie was also a regular performer at MusiCafe in Mexico City, bringing American popular music and folk songs to the Mexican stage. She has written six full-length musical theater productions, and more than 300 songs; some used in worship in her community. Bobbie's work with young people began in 1995 when she held the position of Artistic Director for an evangelistic youth theater organization in Ramona. She has since worked as a Spanish teacher in the local high school, volunteered in the theater department of another high school, and teaches a high school performing arts class in Escondido. She is married to Jon, a pilot with Mexican Medical Missionaries. Her oldest son Josh is a restaurateur, married to a fiery, captivating beauty. Her daughter Amanda is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater Design from the University of Iowa, and her son Justin is a guitarist currently attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Bobbie's passion is teenagers and theater, and bringing the truths of God to life on life's stage.
