               Theatre 100
This class is a year-long class covering the history of western theater, analysis of scripts, and technical theater training. Theater has a long and glorious history, championed by the church when good and shut down by the church when not. We will examine the first known western theater in Greece, and travel through time to modern theater, looking at the best works from a Christian perspective. With their context in place, we will then look at how good scripts are written and how to interpret them, analyzing scenes, defining objectives and recognizing tactics. For the last part of class, we will act out what we’ve learned and hone our skills as Players. Students will perform their work in a showcase in December and at the ETS fling in June.

Students will be required to attend local theater performances.

                 Theater 200
This class will continue this training at a more advanced level.
Prerequisite for Theater 200: Theater 100, or by audition and assessment.
